What to Expect When Consulting with The Ledbetter Group
Every dental practice is different. That’s why our dental practice consulting begins by understanding your goals and continues with hands-on support to help you achieve them. From the first conversation to long-term results, our role is to guide, train, and coach your practice toward higher production, lower stress, and stronger teamwork.
Setting Clear Goals for Your Practice
Early in the consulting relationship, we work directly with the dentist and leadership team to establish a clear set of goals tailored to your practice. These goals serve as the foundation for the consulting period and guide every recommendation and training initiative.
Common goals often include:
-
Increasing production
-
Reducing management stress
-
Improving teamwork and communication
While these goals are common, the specific priorities and challenges are unique to each practice.
How Our Dental Consulting Is Delivered
Our consulting combines hands-on, in-office training with ongoing leadership and management coaching to create consistent, lasting change.
Weekly Leadership & Management Coaching
Throughout the consulting period, the dentist and/or practice manager participates in weekly coaching calls with the lead consultant. These calls are tailored to real-world issues and may include:
-
Reviewing weekly numbers and performance
-
Addressing scheduling challenges
-
Improving case presentation and acceptance
-
Managing staffing and team dynamics
-
Strengthening leadership and accountability
-
Resolving operational issues as they arise
These conversations are wide-ranging and focused on whatever is most important for moving your practice toward its goals.
In-Office Training & Implementation
In addition to weekly coaching, our consultants work directly with your team in your office during normal business hours. This includes:
-
A one-day team-building and communication seminar
-
Three separate three-day in-office training visits (nine total days)
-
Hands-on front-office training covering:
-
Scheduling and hygiene recall
-
Financial arrangements and collections
-
Phone skills and patient communication
-
Systems for efficient, low-stress days
-
Training is conducted while your practice is operating, so improvements are implemented in real time without closing the office.
Building Accountability and Consistency
A critical part of consulting is helping your practice establish systems that are followed consistently. Through a combination of in-office work and ongoing coaching, we help your team develop accountability, clear communication, and reliable procedures.
When more complex issues arise, the lead consultant will return to the office as needed to work through them directly with the team.
What Results Should You Expect?
As goals are implemented and systems take hold, practices typically see measurable improvements. Dental production often increases by a minimum of $10,000 per month, with an average increase of approximately $18,000 per month per dentist using our proven techniques.
Beyond production, dentists often report:
-
Reduced management stress
-
Better team morale and communication
-
Greater confidence in leadership
-
A more predictable, well-run practice
